Tennis-Tipsarevic out of Serbia's Davis Cup tie with Russia
BELGRADE, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic is out of the Davis Cup World Group first-round tie with Russia in Moscow because of a stomach bug.
"Tipsarevic will not be able to play...and will be replaced by Viktor Troicki," the Serbian Tennis Federation (TSS) said in a statement on Thursday.
Serbia will rely heavily on world number three Novak Djokovic, who won the Australian Open last month to capture his first grand slam title.
Djokovic faces world number eight Mikhail Youzhny in the opening singles rubber on Friday followed by Troicki's clash with world number four Nikolay Davydenko.
Davydenko plays Djokovic and world number 114 Troicki meets Youzhny in the reverse singles on Sunday.
The teams have yet to name their lineup for the doubles.
Serbia reached the top tier of the competition for the first time as an independent nation with last year's 4-1 home win over Australia in a World Group playoff.
