FACTBOX - The heist in numbers

LONDON (Reuters) - Five men were found guilty on Monday of carrying out Britain's record heist at a Securitas cash depot in Tonbridge, Kent.

Here are some of the striking figures thrown up by the police investigation.

* The gang stole 52,996,760 pounds. They left behind a further 153,833,020.73 pounds.

* Detectives have so far recovered 21 million pounds in 13 seizures across southeast England.

* Officers have arrested 54 people so far as part of their inquiry and charged 13.

* Ironically the cost of finding and prosecuting the men has already cost millions itself. Police have so far received 3 million pounds to carry out their probe while the prosecution costs in the trial amounted to 600,000 pounds.

* Around 100 police officers were put on the case after the heist, more than would handle a major murder investigation.

* The investigation turned up 12,811 exhibits and 3,593 witness statements.
