U.S. not planning response to Russia expulsions
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States is not planning a response at this time to Russia's expulsion of two U.S. military attaches from the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said on Thursday.
McCormack told reporters that Washington considered the expulsions of the pair unjustified and reserved the right to respond. But, he added: "At this point I don't see that we are going to take any further action in response."
He said Russia had given the United States the reasons for the expulsions, but he declined to say what they were.
