Italy raised 19 billion euros from fighting tax evasion in 2016 - Economy Minister

ROME (Reuters) - Italy raised 19 billion euros (16 billion pounds) from fighting tax evasion in 2016, Economy Minister Pier Carlo Padoan said on Thursday.

Total tax receipts last year were 450 billion euros versus 436 billion in 2015, Padoan said at the presentation of the tax collection agency's annual report.
