PARIS (Reuters) - France's President Emmanuel Macron spoke on Monday with the Emir of Kuwait to discuss the rift between Qatar and Arab states, the Elysee palace said.

Earlier, Macron's foreign minister met with his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, who said Qatar supported Kuwait's mediation efforts and was ready to engage in talks that conform with international law.
