Soccer-Feyenoord beat Venlo 4-1 to move into second spot

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, Mar 15 (Reuters) - Feyenoord cruised to a 4-1 home victory over VVV Venlo on Saturday to move into second place in the Dutch league.
Luigi Bruins opened the scoring after four minutes with a fine lob but eight minutes later Keisuke Honda curled a free kick around the wall to equalise.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Michael Mols gave Feyenoord a 3-1 halftime lead and Nuri Sahin then added a fourth goal just before the hour mark.
PSV Eindhoven, who visit Roda JC Kerkrade on Sunday, are top with 59 points from 27 matches, five more then Feyenoord who have played two games more.
Ajax Amsterdam, who have played 27 and host Willem II Tilburg on Sunday, were joined on 53 points by NAC Breda following a 2-0 win over bottom side Excelsior Rotterdam.
Fouad Idabdelhay opened the scoring on the stroke of halftime before Joonas Kolkka settled the match on the hour.
Seventh-placed Twente Enschede won a seven-goal thriller 4-3 at home to Vitesse Arnhem, who finished with 10 men after Alexander Buttner's 72nd minute dismissal.
Romano Denneboom put Twente ahead after three minutes but Juan Lorca and Santi Kolk turned the tide for Vitesse. Continued...
