Briefs-Ivory Coast's Dindane out for six months with knee injury
May 4 (Reuters) - Sports news in briefs from around the world:
Soccer - Racing Lens's Ivory Coast striker Aruna Dindane will be out for six months because of a left knee injury, the Ligue 1 club said.
Dindane was carried off the pitch on a stretcher in the second minute of Saturday's 0-0 draw against Monaco after tearing his cruciate ligaments.
"Aruna Dindane will be out for six months, pending further checks," Lens said in a statement on their Web site (www.rclens.fr).
Soccer-Italian police are holding 30 Napoli fans who threw objects at a coach of AS Roma supporters at a service station in Tuscany, media reports said. No one was injured.
It was the latest in a series clashes between Italian fans meeting at service stations on the way to games. A Lazio fan was shot and killed by a policeman after scuffles at a rest stop in November and a Parma supporter was knocked down and killed by a bus in March after insults were exchanged with Juventus fans.
