AMSTERDAM, Feb 9 (Reuters) - In-form Heerenveen held Dutch league leaders PSV Eindhoven to a 1-1 draw on Saturday to stay amongst the quartet trying to close the gap at the top.
Youngster Otman Bakkal gave PSV a dream start when he headed home a free kick from Balazs Dzsudzsak after 43 seconds.
Gerald Sibon set up U.S. international Michael Bradley early in the second half to equalise with his 13th goal this season.
With 10 matches remaining PSV remain top with 53 points, nine ahead of second-placed Ajax Amsterdam, who travel to Roda JC Kerkrade on Sunday.
Heerenveen stay third, also with 44 points, on goal difference above Feyenoord, 3-1 winners at Graafschap Doetinchem, and NAC Breda, who won 1-0 at home to Utrecht.
Lasse Schone netted a rebound after 17 minutes for Graafschap but on the stroke of halftime Roy Makaay replied for the visitors after a fine long pass from Leroy Fer.
Nick Hofs struck twice in the second half to seal Feyenoord's 400th away victory in professional football.
Rob Penders netted in the second minute to inspire NAC to victory over Utrecht, their sixth win in a row. Continued...
