MILAN, March 9 (Reuters) - Brief reports from Italian Serie A matches played on Sunday.

GENOA 0 JUVENTUS 2

Third-placed Juventus put distance between themselves and Fiorentina with a clinical win over Genoa, who like the visitors were promoted for Serie B last season.

Zdenek Grygera, in an unfamiliar left-back role for Juve, was the surprise man of the match after blasting home from outside the area on 25 minutes and then playing in David Trezeguet for his 16th of the league campaign.

The win was Juve's first in four matches.

CATANIA 2 CAGLIARI 1

The home side came from behind to leave Cagliari four adrift at the bottom with Michele Canini's own goal sealing victory early in the second period.  Continued...
