Briefs 3-Soccer-Inter coach annoyed after Totti escapes red card
LONDON, April 15 (Reuters) - Sports news in brief from around the world:
Soccer - AS Roma striker Francesco Totti should have been sent off for verbally abusing a referee, Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini said on Tuesday.
The Roma captain was fined 1,000 euros ($1,600) by the league for repeatedly swearing at Nicola Rizzoli after the referee accidentally got in his way as he tried to shoot during the Sunday's 3-1 win at Udinese. He was booked for his outburst.
"I don't understand all those who say the referee had good sense (to just book him)," Mancini told a news conference.
"I can understand one swear word seeing as the referee was in his way but not the other two. He should have been sent off. There is nothing left to add."
Soccer - Portugal midfielder Deco returned to training with the rest of the Barcelona squad after more than a month out with a right calf injury, the Primera Liga club said.
Teenage striker Bojan Krkic returned after missing last weekend's 2-2 draw at Recreativo Huelva but France striker Thierry Henry and Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta continued to work on their injuries separately.
Soccer - Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has said AC Milan want to re-sign Serie A top scorer Marco Borriello, who is jointly-owned by the two clubs. Continued...
