PARIS (Reuters) - France is in talks with the Myanmar military government about a possibly delivery of aid to victims of the country's cyclone, the French Defence Ministry said on Saturday.

The French government said its Mistral navy helicopter carrier was in waters south of the storm-ravaged Irrawaddy delta. It said the ship had supplies to feed 100,000 people over a 15-day period and shelter at least 60,000 people.

"The details on how this aid will be delivered have not yet been finalised. They are the subject of discussion with the Myanmar authorities," the defence ministry said in a statement.

The cyclone has left a toll of dead and missing of more than 133,000 people but Myanmar's military government has refused to admit large-scale outside relief.
