Foreign Office advises against all Zimbabwe travel
LONDON (Reuters) - The Foreign Office said on Wednesday it was now advising against all travel to Zimbabwe as the unpredictable situation there could get worse.
"We advise against all travel to Zimbabwe at this time of high tension. The situation remains unpredictable and there has been a marked increase in violent incidents across the country: it could deteriorate further, without warning," it said in travel advice on its Web site, updated on Wednesday.
"At this time there is no change in our advice to British nationals resident in Zimbabwe," it said, but added that in the event of a "significant deterioration in the security situation" consular assistance would be "severely limited".
