FACTBOX-Security developments in Iraq, May 8
(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 11:45 a.m. British time on Thursday.
BAGHDAD - Seven people were killed and 20 wounded in the Mehdi Army militia stronghold of Sadr City in eastern Baghdad in overnight clashes, police said.
BAGHDAD - A Katyusha rocket landed in central Baghdad, killing two people and wounding four, police said.
DHULUIYA - A suicide bomber wearing a vest packed with explosives attacked the convoy of Mohammed Khalid, the police chief of Dhuluiya town, 70 km (45 miles) north of Baghdad, wounding him and hurting the head of a local neighbourhood patrol and three of his security guards, Khalid said.
BAGHDAD - The bodies of four people were found in Baghdad on Wednesday, police said.
MOSUL - A policeman was seriously wounded when a bomb exploded near his home in the northern city of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
MOSUL - The body of a man was found in Mosul on Wednesday, police said.
