(Reuters) - Democratic presidential candidates Barack Obama, an Illinois senator, and Hillary Clinton, a New York senator, split a pair of primary contests on Tuesday, with Obama winning the North Carolina vote and Clinton managing to pull off a narrow victory in Indiana.

Here are the results.

NORTH CAROLINA (with 99 percent of precincts reporting)

Barack Obama 889,513 56%

Hillary Clinton 657,616 42%

INDIANA (with 99 percent of precincts reporting)

VOTE PERCENT

Hillary Clinton 637,389 51%  Continued...
