BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 September 2009, JAPAN TOBACCO INC.'s revenues decreased 13% to Y3.054T. The Company's net income decreased 5% to Y66.07B. Revenues reflect lower sales especially from the overseas tobacco business segment. Net income is partially offset by lower foreign exchange losses, decreased assets impairment losses, as well as the absence of Y11.06B introduction costs-vending machines.
