The Basic Chemical segment is involved in the manufacture and sale of basic chemicals such as caustic soda, inorganic chemicals, organic chlorinated solvents, sulfuric acids and industrial gases. The Acrylic Product segment provides acrylic products, including acrylic esters, acrylic acids, acrylic polymerized products and high-polymer coagulants, as well as products for urban construction uses. The Functional Product segment offers light curing resins, adhesives, inorganic functional materials and electronics materials. The Processed Plastic Product segment offers products for sewage, power, communications, nursing care and environment protection uses, as well as elastomeric compounds. The Others segment is involved in the transportation of the Company's products, as well as real estate management, advertising, general affairs, construction and repair businesses.

BRIEF: For the nine months ended 30 September 2009, Toagosei Co., Ltd.'s revenues decreased 18% to Y102.08B. The Company's net income decreased 71% to Y1.26B. Revenues reflect decreased sales especially from acrylic and basic chemistry business segments. Net income also suffers from higher percentage of SG&A expenses, higher assets impairment loss as well as the presence of Y189M idle equipment expenses.
