Ameren Corporation (Ameren) is a holding company. Ameren’s subsidiaries include Union Electric Company (UE), Central Illinois Public Service Company (CIPS), Ameren Energy Generating Company (Genco), CILCORP Inc. (CILCORP) and Illinois Power Company (IP). These subsidiaries operate rate-regulated electric generation, transmission and distribution businesses, rate-regulated natural gas transmission and distribution businesses, and non-rate-regulated electric generation businesses in Missouri and Illinois. Ameren has three segments: Missouri Regulated, Illinois Regulated and Non-rate-regulated Generation. On February 29, 2008, UE’s 40% ownership interest and Development Company’s 40% ownership interest in Electric Energy, Inc. (EEI) were transferred to this Resources Company.
