The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation is a global financial services company with approximately $928 billion in assets under management and $20.2 trillion in assets under custody and administration. On July 1, 2007, The Bank of New York Company, Inc. and Mellon Financial Corporation (Mellon Financial) merged into The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (the Company), with The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation being the surviving entity. On July 1, 2008, the Company completed the process of consolidating and renaming the principal United States bank and trust company subsidiaries into two principal banks: The Bank of New York Mellon (the Bank) and BNY Mellon, National Association (BNY Mellon, N.A.). The Company operates its business into seven business segments: asset management, wealth management, asset servicing, issuer services, clearing services, treasury services and others. In November 2009, the Company acquired Pinnacle Arbitrage Compliance.
