BRIEF: For the nine months ended 30 September 2009, Bankinter SA's total interest income decreased 30% to EUR1.36B. Net interest income after loan loss provision increased 40% to EUR457.5M. Net income for the period decreased 14% to EUR204.8M. Interest income reflects a decrease in loans issued due to presence of highly unfavorable macroeconomic conditions. Net income for the period was partially offset by higher other income.
