Benetton Group S.p.A, along with its subsidiaries, primarily manufactures and markets fashion apparel in wool, cotton and woven fabrics, as well as leisurewear. The Company operates in two segments: apparel and textile. Apparel is represented by the brands of United Colors of Benetton Adult and Children, Undercolors, Sisley, Sisley Young, Playlife and Killer Loop. This segment also includes the results of the Company’s real estate companies. Textile consists of production and sales activities for raw materials (fabrics, yarns and labels), semi-finished products and industrial services. The Company has operations in Italy, Rest of Europe, Asia, The Americas and Rest of the World. On February 29, 2008, the Company acquired, through its subsidiaries Benetton USA Corp. and Benetton Canada Inc., the control of 54 Benetton stores in the United States and Canada. On April 1, 2008, the Company sold its residual sports equipment manufacturing business in Hungary to third parties.
