Daylight Resources Trust (Daylight or the Trust) is an oil and natural gas energy trust. Daylight operates in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. During the year ended December 31, 2008, Daylight’s total production volumes averaged 21,863 barrel of oil equivalent per day. Daylight owns approximately 23% of Bengal Energy Ltd., a junior exploration company pursuing opportunities in Australia and India. During 2008, Daylight drilled a total of 50 gross (21.4 net) wells. Its properties include Peace River Arch Properties include Cecil, Elmworth, and Sinclair. West Central properties include Pine Creek, Kaybob, Pembina, Oldman and Windfall. Eastern and Southern properties include Wildmere, Sylvan Lake, Chigwell, Bon Accord and Chipman. In September 2008, Daylight announced the closing of the sale of its Sturgeon Lake asset to Cadence Acquisition Inc. In October 2009, Daylight Resources Trust announced acquisition of Highpine Oil & Gas Limited.

BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, Daylight Resources Trust's revenues decreased 23% to C$137.5M. Net loss totaled C$8.5M, vs. an income of C$46.4M. Revenues reflect lower revenues from petroleum & natural gas. Net loss reflects an increase in operating expenses, higher transportation expenses, a rise in general & administrative expenses and higher depreciation & amortization expenses.
