Deutsche Boerse AG is an international financial marketplace operator. The Company's cash market activities, encompassing trading in shares, bonds and derivatives, include the operation of the trading floor at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the electronic trading platform Xetra. Deutsche Boerse also operates the Eurex derivatives exchange in partnership with SWX Swiss Exchange. Eurex offers an electronic platform for the trading and clearing of futures and options. The Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Clearstream, is an international central securities depository (CSD). The Company's Market Data & Analytics division channels the flows of information on prices, index levels and company-related data, while its Information Technology division builds and operates the Group’s trading platforms.

BRIEF: For the nine months ended 30 September 2009, Deutsche Boerse AG's total revenue decreased 15% to EUR1.61B. Net profit for the period decreased 35% to EUR529.1M. Total revenue reflects a significant decrease in demand for the Company's services in the Xetra and the Eurex business segments. Net profit for the period suffered form decreased operating margins due to higher other operating expenses as well as a decrease in financial income.
