Georg Fischer AG is a Switzerland-based company that is engaged in the development and supply of systems for industrial applications. The Company’s business activities are divided into three divisions. GF Automotive division develops and produces stressable castings for the automotive industry and its suppliers. GF Piping Systems division provides piping systems made of plastic and metal, and customized system solutions and components for the safe transport of water, gas and other liquids. GF AgieCharmilles division provides machines and system solutions to the tool and mold making industry and to manufacturers of precision parts. In 2008, it acquired Central Plastics LLC, Alfa Plastics Inc and JRG Gunzenhauser AG. The Company operates with 200 companies worldwide, of which 50 are production sites. 81 companies are domiciled in Europe, 38 are situated in Asia and the Middle East, 15 are located in America and three are in Australia.
