BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, Galenica AG's total revenue increased 2% to SF1.57B. Net income for the period increased 11% to SF115.7M. Total revenue reflects an increase in demand for the Company's products and services in Switzerland and Americas geographic segments as well as in Pharma and Logistics business segments. Net income for the period benefited from increased operating margins as well as lower financial expenses.
