Genmab A/S is a Denmark-based biotechnology company that develops human antibodies for the treatment of life-threatening and debilitating diseases. The Company focuses on oncology products and it has a number of products under development for the treatment of different types of cancer, infectious diseases, as well as other conditions. Genmab has licensed the rights to use the UltiMAb, a transgenic mouse technology platform from the United States biotechnology company Medarex, under which it received 16 fully paid-up commercial licenses. The transgenic mouse technology is used to create fully human high affinity antibodies. In addition, the Company has developed UniBody, which is a propriety technology that creates a new stable smaller antibody format. Genmab A/S operates internationally.
