Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. de C.V. (GMexico) is a Mexico-based holding company. The Company is engaged in the mining-metallurgic industry and its activities include the exploration, exploitation and benefit of metallic and non-metallic minerals; freight and multimodal railroad services, and also infrastructure. The Company operates in three divisions: mining, transportation and infrastructure. The mining division is represented and controlled by the subsidiary Americas Mining Corporation (AMC), its principal subsidiary being Southern Copper Corporation (SCC). The transportation division is represented and controlled by the subsidiary Infraestructura y Transportes Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (ITM), its principal subsidiaries being Grupo Ferroviario Mexicano, S.A. de C.V. (GFM), Ferrocarril Mexicano, S.A. de C.V. (Ferromex) and Ferrosur, S.A. de C.V. (Ferrosur). The infrastructure division of GMexico is represented by the subsidiary Mexico Constructora Industrial, S.A. de C.V (MCI).

BRIEF: For the nine months ended 30 September 2009, Grupo Mexico S.A.'s total revenue decreased 18% to PS45.28B. Net income for the period decreased 46% to PS6.93B. Total revenue reflects considerably decreased demand for the Company's products and services in all markets due to unfavorable market conditions. Net income for the period was offset by higher financial and interest expenses as well as by significantly deteriorated gross margin.
