Hardy Oil and Gas plc (Hardy) is an upstream international oil and gas company whose assets are located in India. Its portfolio includes exploration, appraisal and production assets. The Company is organized into two business units: India and United Kingdom. The India business unit is operated by the wholly owned subsidiary, Hardy Exploration & Production (India) Inc. and Hardy Oil and Gas plc operates in the United Kingdom. The India business unit focuses on exploration and production of oil and gas assets in India. The United Kingdom business unit is the holding company. Hardy’s exploration licenses include D3, GS-01, D9, PY-3 and CY-OS/2. The D3 exploration license encompasses an area of 3,288 square kilometers and is located approximately 45 kilometers offshore. On June 22, 2011, it announced the first natural gas discovery on the D9 block from its third well, KG-D9-A2. The GS-01 exploration license is located in the Gujarat- Saurashtra offshore basin off the west coast of India.
