Lagardere SCA is a pure-play media Company. The Company operates in more than 40 countries and is structured according to four business lines: Lagardere Publishing (book publishing), Lagardere Active (press, audiovisual and digital activities, plus advertising sales), Lagardere Services (travel retail and press distribution) and Lagardere Sports (the sports economy). The Company holds a 7.5% interest in EADS, over which it exercises joint control. EADS has five business divisions: Airbus, Military Transport Aircraft, Eurocopter, Defence and Security Systems and Astrium.

BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, Lagardere SCA's total revenue decreased 2% to EUR3.93B. Net income for the period decreased 44% to EUR318M. Total revenue reflects decreased demand for the Company's products and services in the Lagardere Services business segment as well as in France geographic segment. Net income for the period suffered from higher impairment of assets as well as from lower financial income.
