London Stock Exchange Group Plc is engaged in the admission of securities for trading, the delivery of trading systems, clearing and settlement of trading in securities, the organisation and regulation of markets in securities and the provision of associated information services. It has six segments: Issuer, Trading, Information, Post Trade, Other and Corporate. Its equity exchange business comprises 3,304 companies on the markets of London Stock Exchange and Borsa Italiana. It also has 656 international companies from 72 countries on its markets in London. The Exchange enables companies worldwide to raise capital with a choice of four primary markets: Main Market; Alternate Investment market, an equities market for smaller growing companies; Professional Securities Market, which is for listed debt and depository receipt securities, and Specialist Fund Market, which is dedicated to specialised investment entities. It trades in equities, debt, covered warrants and exchange traded funds.
