National Mobile Telecommunications Company KSS, also known as Wataniya Telecom is a Kuwait-based public shareholding company engaged, together with its subsidiaries, in the provision of mobile telecommunications and Internet services in Kuwait, the Middle East and North Africa, and Maldives region. The Company focuses on two business segments: Personal and Business. The Personal segment offers Video Calling, Pay Plans, Messaging, Wnet, Roaming, Go Do and other related services. The Business segment offers WPro-Voice, WPro-Net, WPro-Message, WPro-Track and WPro-Link services. Qatar Telecommunications Company QSC holds 51% of the Company’s shares.

BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, National Mobile Telecommunications Company's revenues increased 1% to KWD232.8M. Net income increased 86% to KWD78.9M. Revenues reflect a slight increase in demand for the Company's products and services. Net income benefited from a decrease in administrative expenses, as well as an increase in net other operating income. Net income also benefited from lower finance costs.
