Omega Pharma NV is a Belgium-based provider of healthcare products and services for the pharmacies and other medical sectors. The Company specializes in the development, marketing and sales of health and personal care products, which can be obtained by the end-consumer without medical prescription (over the counter or OTC products). Omega Pharma NV consists of five business units, and is engaged in the provision of consumer-oriented medicines and healthcare products. It is composed of Omega Pharma Belgium, Omega Pharma France, Omega Pharma Northern Europe, Omega Pharma Southern Europe and Omega Pharma Rest of the World. As of December 31, 2008, the Company operated in over 30 countries, including most of the European countries, as well as Australia, New Zealand and Argentina.

BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, Omega Pharma NV's total revenue decreased 3% to EUR415.1M. Net income for the period decreased 19% to EUR33.8M. Total revenue reflects decreased demand for the Company's products and services in France geographic segment. Net income for the period suffered from decreased gross margins and operating margins as well as lower financial income and decreased result from the equity in affiliates.
