PartyGaming plc is an online gaming company. The Company operates gaming sites, such as PartyPoker, PartyCasino, PartyBingo, PartyGammon, and PartyMarkets. The Company operates in four divisions: poker (including emerging games), casino, sports betting and bingo. Poker is a peer-to-peer game, where the Company acts as a facilitator and its customers play against each other in return for a fee or rake. PartyCasino is the Company’s principal casino brand, and other brands include CasinoKing and CasinoLasVegas. PartyBets and Gamebookers are the PartyGaming plc’s two sports betting brands. PartyBingo is the Company’s primary bingo brand. In July 2009, the Company acquired Cashcade Limited. In November 2009, the Company acquired WPT Enterprises Inc. (WPTE).

BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, PartyGaming plc's revenues decreased 21% to $201.3M. Net income from continuing operations increased 32% $35.2M. Revenues reflect lower income from Poker, Casino, Sports Betting and Bingo divisions. Net income was offset by a decrease in other administrative expenses, decreased share based payments, lower distribution expenses, increased operating profit and the absence of finance costs.
