The Company is engaged in wireless voice and data communications services through Rogers Wireless, a wireless provider and the operator of the national Global System for Mobile Communications/High-Speed Packet Access (GSM/HSPA) based network in Canada. Through Rogers Cable, the Company a provider of cable television services, as well as high-speed Internet access, telephony services and video retailing. Through Rogers Media, it is also engaged in radio and television broadcasting, televised shopping, magazines and trade publications, and sports entert. On June 12, 2008, it acquired 100% of the outstanding shares of Aurora Cable TV Limited (Aurora Cable). On July 31, 2008, the Company acquired the remaining two-thirds of the shares of Outdoor Life Network (OLN). On April 30, 2008, it acquired the assets of Vancouver multicultural television station channel m, from from Multivan Broadcast Corporation.

BRIEF: For the nine months ended 30 September 2009, Rogers Communications, Inc.'s revenues increased 3% to C$8.67B. Net income increased 2% C$1.17B. Revenues reflect higher income from Cable segment and increased income from Wireless segment due to additional post paid subscribers. Net income was partially offset by an increase in operating, general & administrative expenses and higher integration & restructuring expenses.
