Rolta India Limited (RIL), together with its subsidiaries are primarily engaged in providing computer aided designing (CAD), computer aided manufacturing (CAM), geospatial information system (GIS) solutions, eBusiness and other related services. It also provides automated mapping (AM) and facilities management (FM), GIS and photogrammetry services, plant design automation (PDA), and mechanical design automation (MDA) solutions. The Company also provides technical customisation services and solutions in eBusiness. The Company operates in three business segments: Geospatial Information solutions (GIS), Engineering & Design Services (EDS), and Enterprise Information & Communication Technology (EICT). The Company’s subsidiaries include Rolta International Inc. (RUS), Rolta Middle East FZ LLC UAE (RME), Rolta Saudi Arabia Limited (RSA), Rolta UK Limited (RUK) and Rolta Thames Limited (RTL). As of June 30, 2009, the Company held a 50% stake in Shaw Rolta Limited.

BRIEF: For the three months ended 30 September 2009, Rolta India Limited's revenues increased 1% to RS3.50B. Net income totaled RS561.2M, up from RS239M. Revenues reflect an increase in income from Geospatial and Enterprise Information & Technology business segments of the group. Net income also reflects a decrease material & subcontract cost and an increase in gross profit margin of the company.
