Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. (Red Robin), together with its subsidiaries, is a casual dining restaurant chain focused on serving gourmet burgers. As of December 28, 2008, the system included 423 restaurants, of which 294 were Company-owned, and 129 were operated under franchise agreements, including one restaurant that was managed by the Company under a management agreement with the franchisee. This restaurant was acquired by the Company on December 31, 2008. As of December 28, 2008, there were Red Robin restaurants in 40 states and two Canadian provinces.
