BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, Sberbank Rossii OAO's interest income increased 45% to RUR403.24B. Net interest income after loan loss provision decreased 65% to RUR52.96B. Net income applicable to common stock decreased 91% to RUR6.01B. Interest income reflects higher demand for loans. Net income applicable to common stock was offset by lower operating margins mainly due to presence of other operating expenses.
