Its segments include automotive, and others, which include information technology services, construction equipment manufacturing, machine tools and factory automation solutions, high-precision tooling and plastic and electronic components for certain applications, and investment business. In October 2009, the Company acquired 79% stake in Hispano Carrocera S. A.

BRIEF: For the three months ended 30 June 2009, Tata Motors Limited's revenues increased 13% to RS167.18B. Net loss totaled RS3.29B, vs. an income of RS7.2B. Revenues reflect an increase in Jaguar and land rover business segment and increased other income. Net loss reflects an increase in employee cost, higher depreciation & amortization, an increase in other expenditure, higher consumption of raw materials and higher purchase of products for sale.
