Trent Limited is an India-based company engaged in the retailing business. The Company operates in two business segments: retailing and others. The others segment include the distribution business and consultancy services of the Company. The Company also operates the Westside retail stores. The Westside stores have numerous departments to meet the shopping needs of the customers. It includes menswear, women’s wear, kid’s wear, footwear, cosmetics, perfumes and handbags, household accessories, lingerie, and gifts. The Company’s subsidiaries include Trent Brands Limited, Fiora Services Limited, Satnam Developers and Finance Private Limited, Nahar Theatres Private Limited, Fiora Link Road Properties Limited, Landmark Limited, Westland Limited, Regent Management Private Limited, Landmark E-Tail Private Limited, Trent Hypermarket Limited and Trent Global Holdings Limited. The Company is a part of the Tata Group.

BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 31 March 2009, Trent Limited's revenues increased 17% to RS8.85B. Net income decreased 97% to RS10.4M. Revenues reflect an increase in sales from Retailing segment and higher other income. Net income was offset by an increase in consumption of raw materials, a rise in purchase of traded goods, higher employee expenses, increased depreciation charges and an increase in advertisement expenses.
