Taylor Wimpey plc is a homebuilding company with operations in the United Kingdom, North America, Spain and Gibraltar. The Company operates two core brands in the United Kingdom: Bryant Homes and George Wimpey. Its product range includes high-rise condominiums, single family homes, townhomes and service country club communities. As of December 31, 2008, its only active and upcoming high-rise projects are in the Canadian market. Its United States homebuilding operations trade under the Taylor Morrison brand, with land development branded Taylor Woodrow Communities whilst its Canadian business continues to operate as Monarch. As of December 31, 2008, the Company operated in four divisions: Housing United Kingdom, Housing North America, Housing Spain and Gibraltar, and Corporate. On September 9, 2008, the Company sold its Taylor Woodrow Construction, and on April 21, 2009, it sold its construction businesses in Ghana.
