BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, UCB SA's total revenue decreased 6% to EUR1.6B. Net income from continuing operations increased form EUR108M to EUR516M. Total revenue reflects a decrease in demand for the Company's products and services in North America and Europe. Net income from continuing operations benefited from decreased commercial costs and lower research and development expenses as well as significantly decreased restructuring costs.
