Feb 22 - Fitch Ratings has lowered the Issuer Default Ratings (IDR) of FirstEnergy Corporation (FE) and its wholly owned merchant generation subsidiary FirstEnergy Solutions (FES) to 'BBB-' from 'BBB'.
