Mar. 12 - Dubai desert rock concert draws fans from all over the Middle East.

Tens of thousands of rock fans and 'metalheads' coming to see their favourite bands packed the venue for this year's Dubai Desert Rock Festival.

The stellar line-up for the fourth annual festival included rock superstars Incubus, The Prodigy and metal legends Iron Maiden.

SOUNDBITE: Junkyard Groove guitarist, Siddharth Srinivasan saying (English):
''This festival's been growing over the past few years, and it's got really big names like Iron Maiden, Incubus and Prodigy coming down and playing, so it's an honour to play with bands like them. And immediately it prepares us to the next level, where we're playing on the same stage as these bands.''

SOUNDBITE: Joe Akkawi, founder of Dubai music community website `Phride' saying (Arabic):
''What's nice now about the Desert Rock is that it's allowing lots of people to come. You've got people coming from Lebanon, from Jordan, from Syria, from Saudi Arabia, from Kuwait, you've got the whole region here to watch this concert. And, they haven't brought just any band to play, you know low profile ones, they've got one of the biggest legends (Iron Maiden) from the seventies and eighties."

SOUNDBITE: Sara Al-Baba, Kuwaiti-American university student saying (English):
''Sharing emotions is one thing you can't be racist about because everybody shares that. No matter how different culture you're from and different world, or different parts, our emotions are still the same and I believe we do face same problems.''
