Sep. 8 - The parents of missing toddler Madeleine McCann are named suspects in the four-year old's dissapearance.
Under Portuguese law, declaring the McCanns as suspects indicates police believe they may have been involved in the crime but does not necessarily mean that they will be detained. They would have more legal protection than as witnesses, including the right not to answer questions.
