Jet crashes in Iran, all feared dead

Jul 15 - A Caspian Airlines passenger aircraft flying from Tehran to Yerevan in Armenia has crashed in northwestern Iran with official Iranian media reporting that all aboard are feared to have been killed.

Iran's English-language Press TV said number of passengers aboard was believed to have been 168, while the ISNA news agency said there had been 153 passengers and 16 crew on board.

A fire brigade official told the official IRNA news agency that everybody on board was killed and IRNA quoted an Iranian aviation spokesman saying that the plane had crashed 16 minutes after take-off from Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport.
