India, Pakistan agree more talks

(00:35) Rough Cut

Jul 16 - The Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan meet in Egypt to discuss ongoing dialogue between the two rivals.

Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met on the sidelines of a summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on Thursday.

Addressing the summit on Wednesday, Gilani said there had been "some forward movement" in ties that he wanted sustained. It was the third high-level encounter between the two neighbours since last year's attacks in the Indian commercial hub, Mumbai, which killed at least 166 people.

India says the Mumbai attacks were carried out by Pakistani militants with help from Pakistan security agents. In his speech, Singh said the "infrastructure of terrorism" must be dismantled, a remark clearly directed at Pakistan that echoes India's repeated calls on its neighbour.
