Japan e-maverick gets jail

Mar 16 - Japanese Internet maverick Takafumi Horie was convicted of securities fraud and sentenced to 2.5 years in jail.

The rise of Horie was touted as a new business era for Japan, as wired entrepreneurs took on Tokyo's old boys, while on Friday, a nail that stuck out in the world's No.2 economy was hammered down, and the 34-year old, known for a flash lifestyle and brash takeover attempts, prepared for prison.
