Bush says no bailout for speculators
Aug. 31 - President Bush said there would be no bailout for speculators but offered proposals to help some who may lose thier homes.
Bush, who said the financial markets were in a period of transition called on Congress to pass legislation to help credit worthy homeowners under distress.
