Oct. 1 - The outgoing Russian president says suggestions he could head a future government as prime minister are "quite realistic".
Putin's term as president ends next year and he is barred from running for a third consecutive term by the constitution. The Russian leader also announced he'll head the party's list for December's parliamentary elections - a move that guarantees him a place in the Duma, the lower house of parliament.
