Oct. 19 - European Union leaders have clinched a landmark deal to reform the 27-member bloc.
The agreement in Lisbon, Portugal, ends a two-year crisis sparked by French and Dutch voters' rejection of the European constitution in 2005.
The new reform treaty was clinched shortly after midnight after objections from Italy and Poland were resolved.
