Nov. 21 - British Prime Minister Gordon Brown was pressed to take responsibility for the mislaid discs with half of Britain's personal details and bank accounts.
Conservative leader David Cameron claimed that the mistakes were a result of a long-term systemic failure in the department Brown headed as British Chancellor and demanded the now Prime Minister to take responsibility.
Brown withheld that all the right procedures were in place, but that this was the result of a single employee's actions.
On Tuesday (November 20) it was revealed that the British tax authority had lost track of two discs, containing personal information and bank details on 25 million individuals and 7.25 million families, as they were sent by courier between offices.
